Well my holiday has finally arrived, two weeks R&R in mexico is called for!!! Unfortunately the weather has failed to turn up but no mind, I am a) not at work, b) not beholden to the alarm clock and c) all inclusive so plenty of hydration therapy. I am sure the weather will improve soon and it is still warmer than back home.
One of the things I did miss out on was the Rivivea Maya 5, 10 & 21k road race which was taking place this morning at 6am, we found out about it 1 hour too late and entries has closed. Oh well never mind, I am meant to be taking it easy and resting up after a busy running year which saw me running 2 marathons, numerous half's, the thunder run 10k and PB's falling all over the place. So I was due a rest however, due to on flying in yesterday, my body clock was all out of kilter so I found myself awake at 5:30am and thought why not go out and support the runners.
We got to see them twice once at 2 miles and then again about a mile from the end, i can imagine that we must have looked a little strange two white English people cheering on the runners, but I think they appreciated it. Now I have twitchy legs so heading off to the gym for a fast 5k on the dreadmill.
Catch you later
